About Me
Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Houston–Downtown. She began her career in the oil and gas industry with Schlumberger, where she gained exposure to key business operations and held several accounting roles. Her interest for taxes was sparked in high school when an IRS agent visited her class and demonstrated how to complete a simple individual return. That moment ignited a lifelong interest—she soon began preparing tax returns for friends and family, deepening her expertise year after year.
Vanessa founded MetaUnion Financial Services, LLC to deliver superior service, personalized attention, and high-quality financial solutions to individuals and small businesses. She believes in empowering clients through education, ensuring they understand their taxes and financials—not just file them. She is especially committed to increasing financial literacy in minority communities and uses her knowledge to bridge gaps and build trust
As a dedicated professional, Vanessa prioritizes continuous education and staying current with IRS regulations and accounting standards. She completes the Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) annually and holds a valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). She holds the Enrolled Agent (EA) license—the highest credential awarded by the IRS.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family and cultivating new growth in her garden.
